University Programs vs. Private Language Schools
- Beijing, the captial of China, the culture, art and traditional architecture center, with more than 2,000 year history, makes it the primary place for people intending to study chinese and learn mandarin in Beijing.
- Unverisity programs are quality guaranteed, and also cheap for long-term study. China top unversities such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, BLCU which have good reputation on literature and language. Unverisity programs are mostly in Wudaokou Haidian. Normally the unversities do not provide accommodation dormitory for language students.
- Private language school programs focus more on meeting the needs of the individual students. Private school chinese programs provide interactive environment and are more learner-centered and flexible in scheduling. However, the private school programs are not all qualified. The foreign students must learn to judge when facing different options. Private Language school programs are more expensive than the tuition fee of the university programs. Besides, private language schools can not provide any degree. Private language programs are mostly in Wudaokou Haidian and CBD Guomao Chaoyang. Rent an apartment in Wudaokou and CBD Guomao area for 1-3 months is a better accommodation option.
